Heart of the City
The inspiration for my train car comes mostly from self expression & hometown pride. I imagined the train car being old, rusted, stationary and aban- doned. A place where people of the city of Tampa have come for years to express their feelings, claim their territory and create works of art.
Over time the train car has been graffitied and tagged over and over with layers and years of shared struggles, memorialized losses, claims of love and a place to create art. The heart of the City.
