Venezuelan Painter of Light & Mist

Armando Villalón is a Venezuelan painter renowned for luminous landscapes and ethereal atmospheres, earning him the title “Painter of the Mist.” With over 50 exhibitions across Venezuela, Spain, and the United States, his works capture light, mood, and memory.

Biography

Armando Villalón is a Venezuelan painter recognized for his mastery of light, atmosphere, and poetic landscapes. Often called the “Painter of the Mist,” Villalón creates works that merge realism with lyrical abstraction, immersing viewers in dreamlike environments where light and mood take center stage.

He began his artistic training in Venezuela before pursuing advanced studies in Arjona and Madrid, Spain, where he was influenced by European art traditions at institutions such as the Círculo de Bellas Artes and Estudio Arjona. This fusion of Venezuelan roots and European influences shaped his distinct style, where transparency, movement, and layered brushwork evoke both memory and imagination.

Over his career, Villalón has presented more than 50 exhibitions internationally. His solo shows have been staged at venues such as the Consulate General of Venezuela in Miami, White’s Art Gallery in Miami, and the Country Club of the South in Atlanta. He has participated in major group exhibitions in Houston, Washington D.C., and across Spain and Venezuela, further establishing his reputation as a painter of atmosphere and emotion.

Today, Villalón continues to explore the dialogue between light and landscape, producing works that transcend geography and invite viewers into meditative spaces of color, mist, and reflection.
