Biography

Bernardo Nieves is a Venezuelan-born abstract painter celebrated for transforming the timeless image of the horse into a study of geometry, rhythm, and spirit. Through layered compositions of acrylic, pencil, and crayon on canvas, Nieves redefines equestrian imagery — translating form into movement and anatomy into pure abstraction.

Rooted in the traditions of Venezuelan geometric art and kinetic abstraction, Nieves’s works pulse with balance and motion. Each painting reveals the silhouette of a horse emerging from intersecting planes and chromatic structures, a symbol of strength and grace reimagined through contemporary design.
