Contemporary Mixed Media Artist
Abby Elizabeth is a contemporary mixed media artist whose intricate works explore repetition, materials, and social reflection. Represented by D-Gallerie in St. Petersburg, her paintings transform everyday objects into bold visual statements.
Biography
Abby Elizabeth is a contemporary mixed-media artist whose practice is rooted in material exploration and meditative repetition. A graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she studied crafts, Abby brings the discipline of form and function into her non-traditional artworks.
Her signature process is defined by the use of unexpected materials — from toy soldiers to objects discovered at yard sales and flea markets — which shape both subject matter and symbolism. Each work is the result of an intensive, labor-driven practice that often takes weeks or months to complete. Through hundreds of repetitive gestures, Abby creates layered compositions that blur the line between abstraction and meaning, transforming the act of making into a form of meditation.
Grounded in themes of purpose and reflection, Abby’s art channels her observations of a chaotic world into bold visual narratives. She views her practice as both therapeutic and purposeful, offering viewers a chance to engage with ideas of justice, order, and resilience. By elevating ordinary materials into extraordinary forms, Abby Elizabeth invites audiences to pause, reflect, and find clarity amid disorder.
