Venezuelan Contemporary Sculptor

Carlos Vallenilla is a Venezuelan sculptor known for his luminous geometric constructions in acrylic and resin. Through transparency, light, and color, his works create spatial dialogues that invite contemplation and movement.

Biography

Carlos Vallenilla is a Venezuelan sculptor whose practice bridges geometry, architecture, and perception. Working primarily with acrylic, resin, and polished surfaces, Vallenilla creates three-dimensional compositions that explore how light transforms space.

Each sculpture is an intersection of precision and poetry. Planes of color and transparency shift as the viewer moves, generating subtle reflections and optical vibration. His works are as much about what is seen as about what is revealed; where light becomes structure and emptiness becomes part of the form.

Influenced by the Venezuelan Kinetic and Constructivist movements, Vallenilla extends this lineage beyond the picture plane. His sculptures function as environments of balance and clarity, merging minimal form with sensory depth. The result is an art that feels architectural yet meditative, grounded in material craft and spatial awareness.

Vallenilla’s sculptures have been exhibited internationally in Venezuela, France, and the United States, and are part of private and corporate collections worldwide. Represented by D-Gallerie in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Beddington Fine Art in France, he continues to expand the language of light-based abstraction through contemporary sculptural form.
